MOLLY BARRETT: Artistic director/designer/performer
Molly Graduated from Nottingham Trent University in 2007 where she studied theatre design, specialising in design for small-scale touring and puppetry. She has since worked as a designer/maker and installation artist on numerous commissions, self directed projects and in schools. Based in Newcastle Upon Tyne for many of these years, Molly has worked with companies such as Northern Stage, Apples and Snakes, Company of Angels, Live Theatre, Magnetic Events, Newcastle Gateshead Initiative, Creative Partnerships and many local councils. Molly recently moved back to East Anglia where she grew up and has enjoyed working with Nutmeg Puppet Company, NORCA, The Science Art and Writing Trust, Norwich Puppet Theatre and November Club.

She formed KinAesthetic Theatre to pursue her love of children’s theatre and to build on work previously created with her brother, Jesse.
Molly is also co-artistic director of Club Adelphi Theatre and a trustee of New Cut Arts Centre, Halesworth.

Jesse Barrett is a highly talented percussionist who has toured nationally and internationally most notably with Mammal Hands who have performed at the Montreal international Jazz Festival, Birmingham Jazz Festival, Love Supreme and venues such as Ronnie Scott’s, Kings Place and Norwich Arts Centre to name but a few.
His unique and highly accomplished style seamlessly blends the traditional Indian tabla with the modern kit drum. His wicked sense of experimentation and sensitivity to style, pace and atmosphere, coupled with the capacity to turn any object into an instrument is highly suited to devised theatre practice.

Jesse and Molly first worked together on The Elephant’s Child in 2007, where they found their relationship as brother and sister lent an openness and added sense of fun to the devising process. They still bicker and play.

MEG AMSDEN: Director
Meg is co-founder of Nutmeg Puppet Company and has created 53 original puppet shows for adults and children that have been performed in theatres, schools, nurseries, festivals and outdoors. Much of this work has been supported by Arts Council England, the Broads Authority, Norwich Castle Museum, Norfolk and Suffolk county councils etc. She has worked with Charivari, Welfare State, Company of Imagination, Suffolk Artlink, Waveney & Blyth Arts, Signals Art and Media, East Feast, Creative Partnerships, the Hawk and Owl Trust, Suffolk and Norfolk Wildlife trusts, Natural England etc.

Meg and Molly have worked together for over 10 years intermittently in what has proven to be a very fruitful working relationship.
